About Jake Seal

British businessman, director, producer, and actor Jake Seal is the founder and creator of Metapixel.World, Undivided and the ORWO group of businesses. He is well known in the industry for championing advanced production techniques such as virtual sets and has produced many successful movies in his career to date, including Born to Be Blue (2015), Jeepers Creepers 3 (2017) and Blaze (2018). Jake has also appeared in numerous films, including Asylum (2008), Quantum of Solace (2008) and Stretch (2014).

Metapixel.World, based at Lasham Airfield in Hampshire, UK, operates the world’s highest resolution internationally portable full body scanners, which enable a capture rate of five shots every second on 36 megapixel RAW. Scanners incorporate one capture computer and 150 cameras connected via fibre optic and USB3 cables, as well as bespoke rig control software, making for a high-detail, ultra-realistic result. Megapixel.World’s custom-built render stations are capable of producing body scans (normal detail) at a rate of one per ten minutes or, for high detail, one every hour and a half. Retopology services are available for batches or individual assets, and a fast turnaround time is offered for rendered assets.

Since 2013 Metapixel.World has been developing its own IP, creating everything from skin shaders to dialogue agents and AI systems for Unreal Engine 4, offering fast 4K video playing and loading deployable to console, desktop or mobile. The company specialises in real world and documentary themes and emotionally or psychologically rich worlds and is particularly interested in creating art games and developing new ways to tell stories using this exciting medium.

The company also boasts the largest purpose-built full performance capture stage in Europe, which is located at Black Hangar Studios in the UK. This location studio offers high flexibility, providing virtual reality and virtual camera pipelines, live environment and multi-character visualisation, and specialising in animal capture.
